    Description

    My friend asked me to list some of the items she inherited from her aunt.  This is an ashtray, 3-1/4" wide,  plus little double cigarette holder slots.  3/4" high.  Beige pottery marked:  Carlton Ware Made In England.  Manuf #1755.  Does not look like it was ever used.  Very clean.  Minor flea bites in brown trim on top edge.  Some glaze run underneath slots.  Inside is a top-hatted man sitting up against tree, smoking a pipe.  He has red hair and moustache.  Checked jacket, black pants, light orange shirt and bow tie.  He sits next to a grave marker:  IN MEMORY OF SAM.  Comical theme ashtray has on the inside bottom:  DREAMER  I dreamed that I died an to heaven did go.  I rang the bell gaily and bowed very low. I said I'm from Canada, my how they did stare. Come right in said Peter, your the first one from there. 

    too cute!!  Have a Canadian friend or relative that would get a kick out of this?  It is from a clean and dry, non-smoking environment.   I do combine shipping and use recycled packing.
